Language IBASE has consistently upheld the concept of environmental sustainability in the areas of environment, society, and governance (ESG), actively promoting green innovation and responsible actions.
We closely align with government policies, continuously invest in Sustainable development and environmental improvement plans, and comply with relevant environmental laws and international standards. Social, environmental, and ethical factors are integrated into our business operations. Starting with energy-saving and carbon reduction, we have taken concrete action and achieved significant results in pollution prevention. Moving forward, we will further commit to meeting global standards to protect the environment, fulfill corporate social responsibility, and preserve a healthy, safe, and sustainable living environment for future generations.
To reduce carbon emissions, IBASE shifted its Pingzhen factory solar panels from selling electricity to Taipower to internal self-consumption. By the end of 2024, self- consumption capacity had reached 609 kWp, effectively improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental burden. In the future, our new factory in Vietnam will also be fully equipped with solar panels, continuing increasing our investment in renewable energy and contributing to long-term green development. In addition, to achieve carbon reduction goals, we have partnered with the Taipei Computer Association and the NCKU Consulting Center to promote a carbon reduction roadmap project, developing a roadmap through 2050 as part of our long-term sustainability commitment.
All IBASE facilities strive to create a friendly workplace environment, aiming to provide a comfortable, safe, and high-quality human-centered workspace. We actively fulfill our social responsibilities, cultivate local roots, increase employment opportunities, and promote local economic prosperity—creating value for sustainable corporate operations. Our 2023 Sustainability Report was awarded the silver award of the 2024 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA), organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy. This recognition, received during our first participation, affirms the high level of acknowledgment for our ongoing sustainability efforts.
In supply chain management, IBASE conducted its second supplier sustainability survey in 2024. Based on the 80/20 purchasing principle, 86 suppliers were selected for due diligence surveys to deepen sustainable collaboration.
We will continue moving toward a strengthened sustainable supply chain, working with partners to create a circular economy system and advance toward net-zero sustainability.
This year, we added "Innovative Products and Services" and "Talent Cultivation" as material topics, reflecting stakeholders’ strong interest in IBASE' s R&D, innovation capabilities, and talent cultivation. Two of our edge AI computing systems received the 2024 IoT Edge Computing Excellence Award, demonstrating our strong capabilities in product innovation. From the second half of 2024, we also fully digitalized product manuals to reduce paper usage and carbon emissions, actively contributing to our environmental goals.
Under the trend of declining birth rates, talent cultivation has become a critical risk and major issue for enterprises. To lay a solid foundation for sustainable operations, we continue to promote internal and external training programs, aiming to enhance employees’ knowledge and skills and strengthen core professional capabilities. We also care about the overall well-being of employees, building a strong and competitive workforce to drive future development.
Looking ahead, IBASE will stay true to the core values of environmental protection and social responsibility and will continue to advance sustainability.
