Sustainable development has been a foundational management belief and vision of IBASE since its establishment in 2000.
The three pillars of ESG—environmental integrity, social responsibility, and robust
governance—alongside the goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions, are pivotal to our long- term
strategic planning. Consistently aligning with government policies, IBASE invests in diverse eco-friendly
projects and enhancements. By adhering to stringent environmental laws and global standards, and
incorporating ethical practices into our business models, we aim to safeguard the environment and uphold
our corporate social duties, ensuring a thriving and safe world for future generations.
IBASE remains committed to amplifying its investments in Taiwan, thereby bolstering local manufacturing capabilities. Following the opening ceremony of the Pingzhen factory and the expansion of our workforce in 2023, we have also increased our office space in the Nangang Software Park to support ongoing business and R&D growth. Moreover, in response to client demands and our strategy to broaden our market presence, IBASE has established a new office and is constructing a factory in Yongfu Province, Vietnam, projected to be operational by 2025. All IBASE facilities are designed to foster a welcoming and productive work environment, which supports our commitment to social responsibility, enriches local communities, boosts employment, and stimulates regional economic prosperity.
In 2023, in response to the industry's carbon reduction transformation, IBASE implemented the Carbon Reduction Guidance Program across IBASE (Central factory) and Supply Chain (Satellite factory). Collaborating with suppliers, IBASE aimed to reduce carbon emissions in accordance with the ISO14064-1:2018 Organization Level GHG Qualification and Reporting, while also conducting educational training to promote a sustainable supply chain. The Pingzhen factory of IBASE introduced lean management techniques and smart energy management systems to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
In terms of supply chain management, IBASE conducted its first suppliers' ESG code of conduct questionnaire survey in 2023, applying the 80/20 rule to select 49 suppliers, achieving a 100% response rate. In 2023, IBASE participated for the first time in the global platform EcoVadis, which assesses corporate sustainability performance, and IBASE was ranked in the top 40% with a good rating. In the future, IBASE will continue to strengthen its sustainable supply chain, aiming to create a circular economic industry system with supply chain partners and advance towards a net-zero sustainable path.
Cultivating talents is the cornerstone for IBASE's sustainable operation. We not only continue various internal and external training programs to cultivate and enhance employees' knowledge and skills but also continually strengthen core professional capabilities to promote the balanced development of employees' mind, body, and spirit, thereby building IBASE's substantial human resources.
Looking ahead, while pursuing corporate profit growth, IBASE will also continue to strengthen corporate governance to protect shareholders' rights, develop green products to reduce negative environmental impacts, care for employees' physical and mental health and safety, and participate in charitable activities and other ESG sustainable development efforts, fulfilling corporate social responsibility, creating corporate operational value, and achieving sustainable operation goals.
