Taiwan, September 6, 2007 IBASE Technology (TASDAQ: 8050), a leading
manufacturer of industrial motherboards and computers and member of
the Intel® Communications Alliance, has launched its new IB940
full-size CPU card, responding to the need for stable and high speed
performance required in the industrial computing environment. Designed
with product longevity, the IB940 utilizes the latest Intel® Q965
chipset to support Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors. Featuring
front size bus of 533/800/1066MHz, PCI Express x16 graphics interface
as well as PCI x1 I/O ports, the IB940 delivers 64-bit computing with
faster access to peripheral I/O devices.
The IB940 comes with the updated Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)
backbone architecture that uses available memory bandwidth to reduce
latency in memory accesses. With support for dual independent display,
it delivers richer visual color and picture quality without the need
for additional discrete graphics card. The CPU card can either
have one 10/100 BaseT Ethernet controller or dual robust Gigabit networking
connectivity. A total of 6 USB 2.0 interface and four serial ATA ports
support are provided to ensure the greatest expandability. Dimensions
of the board are 338mm by 126mm. IB940 are already sampling and will
ship in volume in Q4 2007.
IBASE also offers the IP470 PICMG-bridge backplane that can be used
with the IB940 CPU card. It has 12 PCI and 2 full-size ISA slots.
IP470 has a size of 264mm by 311mm.
