IBASE Introduces a Low Power AMD
Geode Single Board Computer
TAIPEI, TAIWAN, August 11, 2006 - IBASE
Technology, a leading manufacturer of RoHS-compliant single board
computers and industrial motherboards, announces a cost effective
3.5-inch disk-size single board computer, the IB520, which supports
the AMD Geode CS5536 companion device, optimized to work with the
AMD Geode LX 800@0.9W processor. The IB520 is an integrated platform
that delivers the highest power/performance ratio available in the
industry today, offering designers a complete solution for developing
a variety of end-user devices that require high-performance x86-based
processing and low power usage.
With highly versatile internal power
management, the IB520 disk-size SBC comes with advanced features to
meet a wide range of applications. Up to 1GB of DDR SDRAM is supported
by the onboard SO-DIMM memory socket. The integrated VGA controller
supports graphics interfaces for CRT, TFT and LVDS LCD displays. Connectivity
is provided by 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, four USB 2.0 and two serial
interfaces. A Compact Flash socket, PCI-104 interface and PCMCIA connectors
are also available. Board dimensions are 145mm by 102mm. Additional
